Photography is an exceptional art capturing priceless moments with rapt finesse is a class that needs much talent. While not everyone is not blessed with talents of excellent photography skills, everyone loves photos and clicking them. So it is quite a natural thing to capture photographs just the exact way we want to. Photoshop helps us realize this need of ours to possess quality photographs with ease. Though learning Photoshop isn’t a difficult task, there are certain shortcuts in Photoshop that are very handy in every situation.

In this article, we will delve into the important Photoshop CS6 shortcuts that can be used in Photoshop to make your work faster and easier.

    1.EDIT MENU SHORTCUTS

Adobe Photoshop Shortcuts

  • Cut – For the cutting action on an image, press Ctrl + X (Windows)/ Cmd + X (Mac)
  • Fill – For the fill option, use Shift + F5
  • Undo – For undoing an action that needs to be rectified, press Ctrl + Z (Windows)/Cmd + Z (Mac)
  • Step backward option – press Alt + Ctrl + Z (Windows)/ Option + Cmd + Z (Mac)
  • Step forward option – Press Shift + Ctrl + Z (Windows) / Shift + Cmd + Z (Mac)
  • Free Transform – For performing the Free transform option on the image, press Ctrl +T (Windows) / Cmd + T (Mac)               

2. FILTER MENU SHORTCUTS

Adobe Photoshop Shortcuts

  • Liquify – For the liquify action on the image, press Ctrl + Shift + X (Windows) / Cmd + Shift + X (Mac)
  • Adaptive Wide Angle – for using the adaptive wide angle option use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A (Windows) / Cmd + Shift + A (Mac)
  • Vanishing Point – for the option ‘Vanishing Point’ use Alt + Ctrl + V (Windows) / Option + Cmd + V (Mac)
  • Last Filter – For using the Last Filter option, Press Ctrl + F/ Cmd + F
  • Lens Correction – the Lens Correction button can be selected by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) / Cmd + Shift + R (Mac)

The above are important Photoshop CS6 shortcuts to use for beginners and fluent users. However, it is recommended that the important Photoshop CS6 shortcuts be used only after considerable practice to facilitate effective learning of using the Photoshop.
