Ripple delete is an essential tool when we have to merge multiple videos and the transition from one video to another is not smooth and is largely abrupt. In such a case, the segment that doesn’t ensure a smooth transition is ripple deleted, and then the composition is continued. First, select the video you want to delete using the selection tool and right-click on it. After this, a pop up appears with options. Select “ripple delete”, and the segment which isn’t fitting as selected will be deleted without leaving a blank space in the deleted portion.

2. Ripple edit

Ripple edit helps to edit a video by deleting parts without leaving a blank space. In this case, the starting point from where the video is to be deleted is marked first. Now the ripple edit tool is selected, and the marker is kept at the point from where the video is to be deleted. Now the cursor is dragged to the point till which the video is deleted. This will automatically delete the segment you want to delete.

Advanced video editing tools in adobe premiere pro are fairly easy to operate. With repeated usage, one can easily learn the know-how of the software and be fluent in it.
